Train Station
Halifax train station is just a short walk from the town center and is next door to Eureka! With services to Leeds and Manchester, it is used by over 1million people a year. It was announced in January 2009 that Halifax and Brighouse will get 3 trains a day to London’s King Cross starting in December along the East Coast Mainline.
Halifax train station has 2 platforms that going eastbound towards Bradford and Leeds and westbound toward Manchester Victoria. Trains going to Bradford then onto Leeds leave every 15 minutes Monday to Saturday. Every 2 hours this train will go onto York and Selby. Evenings and Sundays the service is reduced to every 30minuties to Leeds and hourly to York.
Westbound: Monday to Saturday (exc. Evenings) every 30mins to Manchester and every hour to Blackpool North and Wakefield Westgage via Huddersfield and Brighouse.

Limited car parking is available however facilities offered at the train station are limited. There are no toilets or cafe onsite, only a ticketbooth and small station shop selling newspapers and sweets.
Bus Station
Halifax bus station serves all areas around Calderdale and beyond, main services are provided by Arriva, First, T.j Walsh and National Express.
Airport
The nearest main airport to Halifax is Leeds Bradford International which has flights to all major European destinations. Alternatively Manchester airport is just 45miles away and has flights all over the world.
